We invite you to schedule an appointment with Kimberly “Kimo” Shotz, NP, LAc or to contact us to learn more about our new service options. The goal of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is to gently move and harmonize Qi and Blood of the body so all organs and tissues are well nourished and function properly. This is necessary to prevent disease, reduce pain, and restore optimal physical and emotional health and well-being.
Pearl Women’s Center offers patients a truly holistic, safe and effective approach to achieving wellness through acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
During your new patient visit, we will collect a full health history, review your primary concerns, and begin your first treatment. Our treatments include:
Acupuncture: the placement of 1-20 very thin, sterile needles into specific areas of your body to elicit a therapeutic effect.
Tuina: a channel-based myofascial massage technique similar to traditional massage.
Moxabustion: mugwart fibers placed on the skin to stimulate acupuncture points with focused warmth.
Gua Sha: smooth jade or porcelain tools rubbed on specific areas of the body, muscles and sore areas. This elicits a therapeutic response.
Cupping: glass suction cups placed on the body to elicit a therapeutic effect. Great for stress, sore muscles, or to prevent an oncoming cold.
